THANK YOU MACON-BIBB
To my family, the Whitby2020 team, and supporters, I am so very proud of all of your efforts, energy, and enthusiasm over the course of this 10-month journey.
Your work has not been in vain. I began this campaign on October 4th, and we accomplished so much in this short period of time.
It makes me hopeful for what can be achieved in this community moving forward.
Together, we have created a movement of people that understand what is required to help shape our youth and community into something better.
My platform of equity, balance, fair play and opportunity does not stop here. It should continue with each of us.
So, although today feels bitter-sweet, just know that "the sweet wouldn't be as sweet without the bitter." You can create the change you want. You can make your own sunshine.
Continue to fight for what you believe in. I believe that I have demonstrated my commitment to do that, and I would not change a thing.
I encourage all of you to persist despite challenges, to learn, and to grow and to help someone else along the way.
As always, my family and I are praying for the best for you and your families and for all of Macon-Bibb.
